Hello

Hello

Welcome to The Pistachio Palace blog page. The Studio has been built over the past 18 months. It's been a tough task but worth every drop of blood, sweat and tears. In a way it's the fourth studio I've had. The first was in my bedroom when I was still living with my folks 20 years ago. I had a Tascam mini disc four track sync'd to a Roland XP80 for sequencing, The Tascam was terribly unreliable and I eventually upgraded to a Mac Pro running Emagic Logic Platinum (it didn't always belong to apple). As things developed I built a huge studio in Kent with a couple of colleagues called The Audiofarm. I had a proper live room, some half decent equipment and loved that place. I started working in bigger studios with world class engineers, writers and producers which was a learning curve beyond belief. After a few years (and a couple of classic music industry horror stories) I downsized and moved to the midlands. The studio came back into the house and for ten years I worked in a small room but still for some high end clients including the BBC and Sky. I missed having a decent live room... so I bought the house next door, put in floating floors, sound proofing and acoustic treatment, a comprehensive analogue multicore and a new console (Audient ASP 4816)... and that's where you find me now. There's some nice pictures to follow. Andy.

P.S. The studio gets it's name from the awful colour the walls were in the room that became the studio when I moved to where I am now.
